How does MY CYBER GUARD work?

Once you provide your credentials, our system constantly scans the deep and dark web for any signs of your personal information, such as email addresses, passwords, or banking details. If your data is found in a potential breach, we notify you so you can take action before criminals exploit it. If your identity is stolen, our identity restitution service assists you in recovering your stolen credentials, securing your accounts, and restoring your identity, helping to minimise financial and reputational damage. The cyber guarantee offers financial protection if you suffer a loss due to cybercrime.  This may include reimbursement for fraudulent transactions, legal fees, or identity recovery costs.

If my personal information is breached online, can MY CYBER GUARD remove the compromised data from the deep and dark web?

Our cybersecurity solution monitors the deep and dark web for potential exposures of your personal information and if an exposure is detected, we provide prompt alerts, enabling you to take necessary actions to protect yourself. ​However, it's important to understand that once personal data appears on the dark web, completely removing it is difficult. The dark web's encrypted and anonymous nature allows information to be duplicated and disseminated across various forums and marketplaces, making eradication nearly impossible. While we  provide essential monitoring and alert services, we do not claim to be able  to remove all personal data from the dark web. Instead, we provide timely  notifications, allowing you to take proactive measures such as changing  passwords, monitoring financial accounts, and implementing additional  security protocols to mitigate potential risks.

How do you know what to monitor?

You must register your credentials.  Individuals  have the ability to monitor up to 10 credentials, such as passport numbers, email addresses and telephone numbers.

How does deep and dark web monitoring work?

Our  system scans the deep and dark web for any signs of your personal  information, such as email addresses, passwords, or banking details. If your  data is found in a potential breach, we notify you so you can take action  before criminals exploit it.

How do I make a claim on the online cyber guarantee?

1. Inform the police within 24 hours  
2. Inform Digimune within 48 hours by completing the form Submit guarantee claim. Make sure you have a claim number.
3. Supply supporting information  
4. Assist with any legal proceedings

How is this different from traditional antivirus software?

While  antivirus software protects your devices from malware, our solution goes further by monitoring online threats, alerting you to potential identity  theft risks, and providing financial coverage in case of cyber fraud.

What happens if my personal information is found on the dark web?

If your data is detected in a breach or suspicious activity, you’ll receive an alert via email or mobile with details of the compromised information, potential risks, and recommended actions to secure your identity and prevent fraud. Recommended actions may include changing passwords, securing accounts, or contacting financial institutions to prevent fraud.

We have more than 5 people in our family. How can we get cover under the family package?

Our family packages provide cover for up to 5 individuals only. To get additional cover you need to purchase an additional package.

Can I increase limits for identity restitution and/or cyber guarantee?

Our packages have set covers and limits to ensure they are simple to understand and easy to manage. Unfortunately, we are unable to change the covers and limits.

Can I change the make up of my package?

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Our customers do not need to sign a contract for a specified period.

How can I upgrade my package from Standard to Premium (or change it from Premium to Standard)?
